2023 HJK Season
The 2023 season was Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi's 115th competitive season. HJK entered the Veikkausliiga season as three time defending champions. In Europe, HJK qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage. After four years at the helm, Manager Toni Koskela was replaced by Toni Korkeakunnas mid-season. Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi
Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (), commonly known as HJK Helsinki, or simply as HJK, is a professional football club based in Helsinki, Finland. The club competes in the Finnish Veikkausliiga. Founded in 1907, the club has spent most of its history in the top tier of Finnish football. The club's home ground is the 10,770-seat Bolt Arena, where they have played since 2000. Generally considered as Finland's biggest club, HJK is the most successful Finnish club in terms of championship titles with 32. The club has also won 14 Finnish Cups and 5 Finnish League Cups. Many of Finland's most successful players have played for HJK before moving abroad. The club has also similar success with women's Kansallinen Liiga. IFK Mariehamn
IFK Mariehamn is an Ålandic football club based in Mariehamn, the capital of the Åland Islands. It plays in the Finnish Premier Division (''Veikkausliiga''). The club is managed by Daniel Norrmén, and it plays its home matches at Wiklöf Holding Arena. Samuel Anini (born 7 September 2002) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Veikkausliiga club Ekenäs IF. Dejan Iliev ( mk, Дејан Илиев; born 25 February 1995) is a Macedonian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for AS Trenčín. Career Early life Iliev was born in Strumica, Macedonia and first played youth club football for his hometown club of FK Belasica. Helsingborgs IF (full name Helsingborgs Idrottsförening), commonly referred to as HIF (), is a Swedish professional football club located in Helsingborg. They play in the Swedish first tier, Allsvenskan, following promotion in the 2021 Superettan season via play-offs. Formed in 1907, the club has won five national championship titles and five national cup titles. Helsingborgs IF have also won Allsvenskan on two occasions when the title of Swedish champions was not decided by the outcome of that league. David Ezeh (born 13 February 2006) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a centre-forward for Ekstraklasa club Raków Częstochowa, on loan from HJK. Early life Ezeh was born in Helsinki to Finnish mother and Nigerian father from Imo State, and was raised in Puistola and Oulunkylä. He started playing football in a youth team of IF Gnistan, after his family had moved to Oulunkylä. Before choosing football, his first sport was Greco-Roman wrestling, which lasted only six months. Anthony Olusanya (born 1 February 2000) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Veikkausliiga club Haka, on loan from HJK. Club career On 30 September 2021, in a UEFA Europa Conference League group phase game against Alashkert, he came on as a late substitute for Roope Riski and scored his first goal in a European club competition.
