2023 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup
The 2023 FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup is a tournament organised by FIBA for women's youth national teams aged 19 years old and below. The tournament is hosted in Madrid, Spain, from 15 to 23 July 2023. The United States won their third consecutive and tenth overall title after a finals win over Spain. Spain has two time zones and observes daylight saving time. Leïla Lacan (born 2 June 2004) is a French professional basketball player for the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Torrejón de Ardoz () is a municipality of Spain belonging to the Community of Madrid. The European Union Satellite Centre (SatCen), an agency of the European Union, is located in Torrejón de Ardoz. Pabellón Jorge Garbajosa, formerly known as Pabellón Parque Corredor, is an indoor arena located in Torrejón de Ardoz, Community of Madrid, Spain. It is mainly used by Inter FS, Inter Movistar for its futsal games. History Opened in 1996, in June 2006, the arena changed its name in homage of basketball player Jorge Garbajosa, born in Torrejón de Ardoz. Isobel Borlase (born 12 September 2004) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Forestville Eagles of the NBL1 Central.
