FC Dallas is an American professional Association football, soccer club based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The club competes as a member of the Western Conference (MLS), Western Conference in Major League Soccer (MLS). The franchise began play in 1996 as a charter club of the league. The club was founded in 1995 as the Dallas Burn before adopting its current name in 2004. Since 2005, Dallas have played in the DFW area's northern suburbs at the 20,500-capacity soccer-specific stadium, soccer-specific Toyota Stadium (Texas), Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas; home games in the club's early years were played at the Cotton Bowl (stadium), Cotton Bowl. 2022 FC Dallas Season
The 2022 FC Dallas season was the Major League Soccer club's 27th season and first under new head coach Nico Estévez. FC Dallas continues to use Toyota Stadium as their home stadium and participated in the U.S. Open Cup tournament after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Amet Yiber Korça (born September 16, 2000) is an American soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club FC Dallas. Early life Korça is from Arlington, Texas, where he attended The Oakridge School. He played youth soccer for Solar SC in North Texas. He joined Dinamo Zagreb in 2019. Born in Nigeria, he represented the United States national under-20 team.
