2023 Dutch Open (darts)
The 2023 Dutch Open (officially referred to as the 2023 TOTO Dutch Open Darts) was the 50th edition of the Dutch Open organised by the World Darts Federation and Nederlandse Darts Bond. The tournament was held at the De Bonte Wever in Assen, Netherlands. The final day of the tournament was broadcast on RTL7. Matches was also be available to follow via the DartConnect application software. Jelle Klaasen was defending his men's title, but lost in the semi-finals to Andy Baetens. Beau Greaves was defending her women's title, but lost in the final match to Aileen de Graaf who won fourth title of this tournament. Prize money Men's Seeds Seeding will take place in accordance of the WDF Main Table, version January 11th 2023. Jelle Klaasen
Jelle Klaasen (born 17 October 1984), nicknamed The Cobra, is a Dutch professional darts player who plays in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and World Darts Federation (WDF) events. In 2006, he became the youngest darts player to win the World Darts Championship, aged 21 at the time. He also is a Dutch Open champion. Berry Van Peer
Berry van Peer (born 23 August 1996) is a Dutch darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Van Peer won two events on the PDC Development Tour in Coventry in April 2015. He went on to finish third in the 2015 Development Tour Order of Merit and was subsequently awarded a two-year PDC Pro Tour card for 2016 and 2017. Van Peer qualified for the UK Open and Players Championship Finals in 2016, losing in the second round of each event. He also reached the final of the 19th Development Tour tournament of the year and was defeated 4−3 by Mike de Decker. Van Peer qualified for the final of the PDC World Youth Championship. Beau Greaves (born 9 January 2004) is an English darts player who currently plays in the World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. She is the current World Darts Federation women's world champion, having won the 2022 WDF World Darts Championship. She is also a WDF Europe Cup Champion. Andy Baetens (born 24 February 1989) is a Belgian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is the reigning 2023 WDF World Darts champion, becoming the first Belgian player to win a world title. Baetens is also a four-time winner of the Czech Open and bronze medalist of the WDF Europe Cup. RTL 7 is a Dutch free-to-cable television channel that was launched as ''Veronica'' on 1 September 1995. Dutch Open (darts)
The Dutch Open is amongst the longest running darts tournaments having started back in 1973. The popularity of darts in the Netherlands since Raymond van Barneveld began amassing world titles has seen the number of entries for the tournament rise dramatically. The 2007 event had 2867 entries in the Men's Singles, 1179 in the Men's Pairs, 418 in the Women's Singles and 176 in the Women's Pairs. Although the tournament is classed an "Open" event, only players eligible to for the Winmau World Masters and BDO World Championship are now allowed to enter.
