Andy Baetens
Andy Baetens (born 24 February 1989) is a Belgian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is the reigning 2023 WDF World Darts champion, becoming the first Belgian player to win a world title. Baetens is also a four-time winner of the Czech Open and bronze medalist of the WDF Europe Cup. In the period from May 2023 to January 2024, he was the leader of the World Darts Federation men's ranking. Career Baetens took part in the first international tournaments shortly after he start playing darts. He advanced to the quarter-finals at the Antwerp Open during 2015 edition. In 2016, he advanced to the quarter-finals of the Polish Open. With his final victory over Darryl Fitton at the Czech Open in 2016, Baetens was able to win his first major title before he finally made his breakthrough on the tour in 2017. Dirk van Duijvenbode (born 30 June 1992) is a Dutch professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is known for his energetic walk-on, combined with hardstyle music. More recently, he has become known for his job on an aubergine farm, which has led to him having the nickname 'Aubergenius'. 2020 Dutch Open (darts)
The 2020 Dutch Open (officially referred to as the 2020 Bauhaus Dutch Open) was the 48th edition of the Dutch Open organised by the World Darts Federation and Nederlandse Darts Bond (Dutch Darts Association). The tournament was held at the De Bonte Wever in Assen, Netherlands. Tournament has been awarded Platinum ranking status, with a total prize fund €27,650. On 29 November 2019, Nederlandse Darts Bond received a letter from the British Darts Organisation with several new obligations to tournament regulations. The Nederlandse Darts Bond does not accept the new rules and is not going to pay for BDO points. Since 2020 tournament is no longer BDO ranked. Scott Waites (born 17 February 1977) is an English professional darts player who plays in tournaments of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He is a two-time BDO World Darts Champion having won the 2013 tournament and 2016 tournament. He is also a former Winmau World Masters champion, WDF World Cup singles' champion, Zuiderduin Masters champion. He also won the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts, becoming the only BDO representative to win the event. Scott Mitchell (born 5 June 1970) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation tournaments. His most notable achievement was winning the 2015 BDO World Darts Championship. Darts career Early career Before he made his mark in the BDO, Mitchell qualified for the 2007 UK Open, winning his first round match 8–4 against Brian Cathcart before losing out in the second round to 2006 Lakeside World champion Jelle Klaasen. Scott Baker (born 31 March 1986) is an England, English darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career In 2017, Baker won the Lincolnshire Open and Welsh Masters. He qualified for the 2018 BDO World Darts Championship as the 23rd ranked player in the BDO , but he lost 3–2 to Andy Baetens in the first round. The following year, he also qualified for the tournament and won his first game 3–0 against Ross Montgomery, before a stunning comeback against reigning champion Glen Durrant fell just short in the second round. The German Masters is a professional ranking snooker tournament held at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany since 2011. The 2021 event was held at Milton Keynes in England because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ali Carter is the reigning champion, having won the event in 2023. 2018 BDO World Darts Championship
The 2018 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championship was the 41st World Championship organised by the British Darts Organisation, and the 33rd staging at the Lakeside Country Club at Frimley Green. Glen Durrant who was the defending men's champion, successfully retained his title, beating Mark McGeeney 7–6 in the final after the match went to a tie break.
