2023 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup
The 2023 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup was the first edition of the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup, the first-tier annual international club football competition in the Caribbean region. It was contested by clubs whose football associations are affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), a sub-confederation of CONCACAF. The winners of the 2023 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup qualified to the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16, and the second and third place teams qualified to Round One. Teams Ten teams from five CFU member associations qualified for the tournament. Eight teams from three nations qualified based on results from their domestic leagues and the remaining two teams qualified from the 2023 CONCACAF Caribbean Shield. Cavalier Soccer Club is a Jamaican football club based in Kingston, which currently plays in the Jamaica National Premier League. The team is based in Kingston, Jamaica, with their home ground at the Stadium East Field. The Caribbean Club Championship, also known as the CFU Club Championship or CFU Club Champions' Cup, was an annual international football competition held amongst association football clubs that are members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). The Caribbean Club Championship served as a qualifying event for the CONCACAF Champions League tournament. The tournament was officially the Flow CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship for sponsorship reasons from 2018 to 2022. With the expansion of the CONCACAF Champions League starting from the 2024 edition, the 2022 edition of the Caribbean Club Championship was the last held. Protests began in cities throughout Haiti on 7 July 2018 in response to increased fuel prices.
