Liga Dominicana De Fútbol
The Liga Dominicana de Fútbol is the first professional football league in Dominican Republic, it was launched in March 2015. For sponsorship reasons it is known as ''LDF Banco Popular''. History Prior to the league's establishment, football in the Dominican Republic was only played in a semi-pro level. To address the issue and to raise the status of football in the country, the Dominican Football Federation has decided to implement the idea of a new professional league in the country, to attract more people into the sport. Thus, the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol was approved, as an attempt to raise the country's football profile. The first season began in 2014. Moca is the capital of Espaillat province in the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic, and is the tenth-largest city of the country with a population of 164,022 inhabitants. Moca Fútbol Club is a Dominican professional football team based in Moca, Dominican Republic, founded in 1971. Their home stadium is Estadio Complejo Deportivo Moca 86, and the team plays in the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol (LDF). La Vega () is one of the 32 provinces of the Dominican Republic. It is located in the Cibao Valley, the north-central region of the country, and is divided into 4 municipalities with its capital city being the namesake of La Vega.
