2023 Baku Formula 2 Round
The 2023 Baku FIA Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 28 and 30 April 2023 at the Baku City Circuit, Baku, Azerbaijan. It was the fourth round of the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship and was held in support of the 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Notes * – Théo Pourchaire received a three-place grid drop for impeding Kush Maini, subsequently dropping him down from eighth to eleventh for the Sprint Race. Baku City Circuit
The Baku City Circuit ( az, Bakı Şəhər Halqası) is a motor racing street circuit located in Baku, Azerbaijan constructed near Baku Boulevard. A lap of the circuit is , making it the third-longest circuit on the Formula One calendar (after Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Jeddah Street Circuit). The inaugural Formula One race at the circuit was the 2016 European Grand Prix and its support events. A year later, in 2017, the circuit held the inaugural Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Juan Manuel Correa Borja (born August 9, 1999) is an American-Ecuadorian racing driver who races under an American license and is set to compete in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. Kush Maini (born 22 September 2000) is an Indian racing driver currently competing in the 2023 Formula 2 Championship for Campos Racing. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. Richard Verschoor (born 16 December 2000) is a Dutch racing driver set to compete for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship.
