Group C of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tournament is one of the twelve groups that will decide the two of the 24 teams that shall qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The group consists of four teams: Cameroon, Kenya, Namibia and Burundi. However, on 23 May 2022, CAF announced that Kenya was disqualified from the qualifiers due to the suspension of the Football Kenya Federation by FIFA. The teams shall play against each other in a home-and-away round-robin format, between 4 June 2022 and September 2023. 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations Qualification
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches will be organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to decide the participating teams of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the 34th edition of the international men's football championship of Africa. A total of 24 teams will qualify to play in the final tournament, including Ivory Coast, who qualify automatically as hosts. Entrants All 54 CAF member associations entered to the competition. The seeding was based on the FIFA World Ranking from 23 December 2021 with teams ranked 1st to 42nd received a bye to the qualifying group stage, while the teams ranked 43rd to 54th had to participate in the preliminary round. Paul Biya Omnisports Stadium (named for the long-ruling president of Cameroon), referred to as the Olembe Stadium (Stade d'Olembé), is a multi-purpose stadium spanning 84 acres (400,000 sqkm) in Olembé locality, Yaoundé. Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It is used mostly for football matches and it also has athletics facilities. It was built in 1972. The stadium has been renovated in 2016 ahead of the African Women Cup of Nations tournament. It has a capacity of 42,500 seats.
