The 2022–23 season was the 53rd season in the existence of Toulouse FC and the club's first season back in the top flight of French football. In addition to the domestic league, Toulouse participated in this season's edition of the Coupe de France, winning the competition for a first ever top-flight title. The season covers the period from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023. Toulouse Football Club is French professional football club based in Toulouse. The club was founded in 1970 and currently plays in Ligue 1, the premier division of French football. Toulouse plays its home matches at the Stadium de Toulouse located within the city. ''Les Pitchouns'' have won Ligue 2 on three occasions. Toulouse have participated in European competition five times, including in 2007 when they qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time. Anthony Rouault (born 29 May 2001) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club VfB Stuttgart. Career Rouault joined the youth academy of Toulouse in 2016. He made his professional debut with Toulouse in a 1–0 Ligue 2 win over Ajaccio on 17 October 2020. On 1 September 2023, Rouault was loaned out to VfB Stuttgart until the end of the season. Stijn Spierings (born 12 March 1996) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for club Toulouse, on loan from Lens. Club career Born in Alkmaar, Spierings began his youth career and professional career with his local team AZ. Having broken into the first team he played on just two occasions in his first season, against PSV and Excelsior. He was then loaned to Sparta Rotterdam and played a role in their successful campaign to get promoted from the Eerste Divisie. Kjetil Haug (born 12 June 1998) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Ligue 1 club Toulouse. Club career Playing youth football for Kvik Halden FK and Sarpsborg 08 FF, he spent time in the Manchester City FC Academy. He returned to Norway and Sogndal in 2018.
