2022–23 Liga 2 (Indonesia)
The 2022–23 Liga 2 is the sixth season of the Liga 2 under its current name and the 13th season under its current league structure. The league is participated by 28 teams, an increase of four teams from the previous season's campaign. The tournament, along with Liga 3 was cancelled due to a combination of factors. Teams Team changes The following teams changed division after the 2021 season. Name changes * AHHA PS Pati relocated to Bekasi and were renamed to Bekasi FC However, following a lawsuit by Bekasi FC's original rights holder, the club is subject to another name change, which will be decided in the near future. On 30 May 2022, during the 2022 PSSI Ordinary Congress, the club finally changed their name once again to Bekasi City. * Mataram Utama handed over their senior team to a group of investors, who subsequently rebranded the club as Nusantara United. Liga 2 (English: ''League Two'') is the second-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, organized by PSSI. Before 2017, this competition was named the Liga Indonesia Premier Division (from 1994 to 2007, it was the top-tier division in the Indonesian football league system). 2022–23 Liga 1 (Indonesia)
The 2022–23 Liga 1 season (also known as the 2022–23 BRI Liga 1 season for sponsorship reasons) will be the 13th season of the Liga 1, the top Indonesian professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 2008. It is planned to be started on 27 July 2022. Bali United are the two-time defending champions. Teams Eighteen teams will compete in the league – the top fifteen teams from the previous season and the three teams promoted from the Liga 2. The promoted teams are Persis (returned to the top flight after fourteen years), RANS Nusantara and Dewa United (both teams will play in the Liga 1 for the first time in their history). They replaced Persipura, Persela (both teams were relegated for the first time since 2008) and Persiraja (relegated after just two seasons back in the top flight). Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Palu or abbreviated Persipal is an Indonesian football club based in Palu, Central Sulawesi. In the last season, they actually played in Liga 3 but failed to be promoted after finishing 3rd in the National round Group E. But in mid-2022, they bought Muba Babel United's slot and automatically promoted themselves to Liga 2. Persipal played at Gawalise Stadium in downtown Palu, Central Sulawesi. Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Pati, commonly known as Persipa Pati, Persipa, is an Indonesian football club based in Pati, Central Java. The club plays in Liga 2. History Persipa Pati was established in the early days of independence in 1951, Laskar Saridin and Kebo Landoh is a nicknames for them. Saridin is an important figure who is respected by the people of Pati.
