2022–23 Liga 1 (Indonesia)
The 2022–23 Liga 1 season (also known as the 2022–23 BRI Liga 1 season for sponsorship reasons) will be the 13th season of the Liga 1, the top Indonesian professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 2008. It is planned to be started on 27 July 2022. Bali United are the two-time defending champions. Teams Eighteen teams will compete in the league – the top fifteen teams from the previous season and the three teams promoted from the Liga 2. The promoted teams are Persis (returned to the top flight after fourteen years), RANS Nusantara and Dewa United (both teams will play in the Liga 1 for the first time in their history). They replaced Persipura, Persela (both teams were relegated for the first time since 2008) and Persiraja (relegated after just two seasons back in the top flight). Liga 1 ( en, League 1), also known as BRI Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons with Bank Rakyat Indonesia, is the men's top professional football division of the Indonesian football league system. Administered by the PT Liga Indonesia Baru (), Liga 1 is contested by 18 clubs and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Liga 2. Top-flight professional league in Indonesia started from the 2008–09 season onwards, initially under the name of Indonesia Super League until 2015. Prior to the 2008 reforms, the national competitions used a tournament format. Liga 1, which started in 2017, is the latest rebranding of the league. PS Barito Putera
Persatuan Sepak Bola Barito Putera, also known as Barito Putera, is an Indonesian professional football club based in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. The club currently competes in the Liga 1. Kanjuruhan Stadium
Kanjuruhan Stadium (Indonesian: ''Stadion Kanjuruhan'') was a multi-purpose stadium in Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. It was used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 42,449. It was the home ground of Arema, a football team in Liga 1. It was also used by Persekam Metro Kabupaten Malang of the Liga 3. It was named after the Kingdom of Kanjuruhan, an 8th-century Hindu kingdom in present-day Malang area. The Malang Regency is a regency in East Java, Indonesia. Malang Regency is the second largest regency in East Java after Banyuwangi Regency, with a total area of 3,530.65 km2.
