2022–23 I-League 2
2022–23 Hero I-League 2 was the 15th season of the I-League 2 since its establishment in 2008. This was the first season of I-League 2 since rebranding as the third tier of Indian football league system. The league's group stage has been played from March to May 2023, parallel to the remaining part of both I-League and Indian Super League seasons. The top two teams on the league table, Delhi FC and Shillong Lajong, secured a place in the 2023–24 I-League season. On 27 September 2022, the league committee meeting presided by Lalnghinglova Hmar was held. It was initially decided that 15 teams would participate in the upcoming season, including the reserve sides of ISL teams. The final phase of the league will be played on a home-and-away basis. I-League 2
I-League 2, previously known as I-League 2nd Division and officially known as or Hero I-League 2 (for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp), is an Indian men's professional football league. It is the 3rd tier of Indian football, behind Indian Super League and I-League. It operates as a system of promotion with I-League (final qualifying phase of state leagues teams). In 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic in India, the league format was changed into I-League Qualifiers. To avoid confusion with I-League being the second tier, the league was renamed to I-League 2 by AIFF in 2022. The 2nd Division league was introduced from the 2008 season, having been previously known as the National Football League 2nd Division. The 2022–23 I-League (also known as Hero I-League for sponsorship reasons) is the 16th season of I-League, the second tier of Indian football league system. It is played from 12th November 2022 to March 2023. The closure of the Indian Arrows project played a major part in their reinstatement. Hyderabad FC Reserves And Academy
Hyderabad Football Club Reserves and Academy are the reserve team and youth academy system of Indian Super League club Hyderabad. They competes in the RF Development League. History On 10 January 2020, it was announced that Indian Super League club Hyderabad would field a reserve team in the upcoming 2019–20 I-League 2nd Division. The team was placed in Group B alongside Mohammedan, Bhawanipore, Chennaiyin Reserves, and Bengaluru B. FC Goa Reserves and Academy is the reserve side and youth academy system of Indian Super League side FC Goa. Bengaluru FC Reserves and Academy, also known as Bengaluru FC B, is Bengaluru FC's most senior youth team, and also acting as a reserve team. It participates in Bangalore Super Division and Reliance Foundation Development League. Bengaluru FC Academy is the youth setup of Bengaluru FC.
