2021–22 Goa Professional League
The 2021–22 Goa Professional League was the 24th season of the Goa Professional League, the top football league in the Indian state of Goa, since its establishment in 1996. Selvel Advertising Pvt Ltd is the title sponsor of Goa Professional League 2021–22 season. The Kolkata based media firm has signed a five-year deal with the state association for the sponsorship. This season, the GPL is playing with 12 teams in a single leg, which will have 66 matches and all of them will broadcast on an OTT app and will also have Square Circle as digital partners. The matches of the league were played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, through to the end of October 2021. Tilak Maidan
Tilak Maidan is a multi-use stadium located in Vasco da Gama, Goa, India. It is used mostly for football matches and regularly hosts matches in the I-League as well as Goa Professional League. It also hosted Indian Super League matches from 2020 till 2022 due to covid where the whole season was held in 3 venues in Goa and this stadium was one of them. Panjim Footballers Club, or simply known as Panjim Footballers, is an Indian professional football club based in Panjim, Goa, that competes in the Goa Professional League. It's women's team previously participated in the Indian Women's League, and currently participates in GFA Vedanta Women's League. History Established in 1978 as an small city club, Panjim Footballers started playing in inter-village tournaments and GFA age-group tournaments and won many small tournaments.
