Competition format The relay teams consist of four biathletes. Every athlete's leg is skied over three laps for a total of , with two shooting rounds: one prone and one standing. For every round of five targets there are eight bullets available, though the last three can only be single-loaded manually from the spare round holders or from bullets deposited by the athlete into trays or onto the mat at the firing line. Marte Olsbu Røiseland (born 7 December 1990) is a former Norwegian biathlete and 3 time Winter Olympic gold medalist. In addition, she won two Olympic silver medals and two bronze medals. Samuela Comola (born 30 April 1998 in Aosta) is an Italian biathlete. Comola started her biathlon career in 2009. In 2016 she competed at the Winter Youth Olympic Games. She also participated at the 2017 IBU Youth World Championships.
