2022–23 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Season
The 2022–23 Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball season began with practices in October 2022, followed by the start of the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season in November. Conference play started in November 2022 and concluded on February 26, 2023. After the regular season, the 2023 ACC women's basketball tournament was held at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC for the 23rd time in 24 years. Notre Dame was the regular season champions with a 15–3 conference record. Virginia Tech won the ACC Tournament title over Louisville 75–67. The ACC had eight teams selected for the NCAA tournament, with Virginia Tech being the best performing, reaching the Final Four. The conference's overall record was 14–8 in the tournament. Sue Semrau
Susan Paige Semrau (born March 9, 1962) is the former head women's basketball coach at Florida State University. From 1997 through 2022, Semrau compiled a 468-252 career record at FSU. She retired after her 24th season at FSU. During the 2020–21 season she took a leave of absence to care for her mother. She guided the Seminoles to appearances in the NCAA tournament 15 total times, including 14 out of the past 15 seasons including three Elite Eights. Until her final season, Semrau at FSU never lost a 1st Round NCAA tournament game, going 15-0. In the 2019–20 season, she hit the 200 ACC wins milestone as a head coach. Albany Great Danes Women's Basketball
The Albany Great Danes women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents the University at Albany, State University of New York in Albany, New York. The school's team currently competes in the America East Conference and plays its home games at SEFCU Arena. Joanna Lynn Bernabei-McNamee (born 1975) is an American college basketball coach who is currently head women's basketball coach at Boston College. Early life and education Born Joanna Lynn Bernabei in Weirton, West Virginia, Bernabei-McNamee graduated from Weirton Madonna High School in 1993. She helped Weirton Madonna win a girls' basketball state championship and also lettered in tennis and track at the school. After high school, she enrolled at West Liberty State College.
