2022 Súper Liga Americana De Rugby Season
The 2022 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby season was the third season of the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby, an annual rugby union competition sanctioned by Sudamérica Rugby. Format The six clubs in the competition competed in the regular season, which took place over 10 rounds and consisted of a double Round-robin tournament, round-robin, with each participating club playing two matches against each of the other five clubs. The top 4 clubs at the end of the regular season moved on to the knockout stage where the clubs then played in a Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament, consisting of semi-finals and eventually, the final. Teams Venues Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the 2022 season was held in Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay only. The first phase of the season was held in Asunción, Ciudad del Este, Santiago and Valparaíso respectively. Peñarol Rugby
Peñarol is a Uruguay, Uruguayan professional rugby union team based in Montevideo. The team was founded in 2019 to compete in Súper Liga Americana de Rugby and is the rugby section of the Peñarol sports club. Pablo Bouza
Pablo Bouza (born 9 May 1973) is an Argentine rugby union coach and former player who won 37 caps playing at No 8, flanker or lock for the Argentine rugby union side. He played club rugby in England between 2005 and 2008 with Harlequins and Leeds Carnegie (formerly Leeds Tykes), playing in the top-level Guinness Premiership competition. Bouza is the son of former Argentine international Mario Bouza.
