2022 PDC Pro Tour
The 2022 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. There were thirty Players Championship events and thirteen PDC European Tour events, and after the split format last year, the Challenge and Development Tours returned as one big tour, rather than a UK/European split tour. Prize money The prize money for the Players Championship events rose from 2021 levels, with each event having a prize fund of £100,000. This is how the prize money is divided: PDC Tour Card 128 players are granted Tour Cards, which enables them to participate in all Players Championships events, the UK Open and qualifiers for all European Tour and select televised events. PDC Pro Tour
The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They comprise Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships and European Tour events. Only four players have gone on to win at least 30 titles on the PDC Pro Tour. Michael van Gerwen has won the most Pro Tour titles with 89. Phil Taylor is second on the list winning 70 events. Gary Anderson is in third, winning 39 events, and Peter Wright is in fourth, winning 34 events, as of May 2025. 2024 PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit as of 31 Oct:Prize money in the tables is in units of £1,000. Riesa
Riesa (; ) is a town in the district of Meißen in Saxony, Germany. It is located on the river Elbe, approximately northwest of Dresden. History The name ''Riesa'' is derived from Slavic ''Riezowe''. This name, romanised as "Rezoa", appears first in October 1119 in a document from Pope Callixtus II. The world's first 110 kV power line was installed between Riesa and Lauchhammer in 1912. Premstätten
Premstätten is since January 2016 a new market town with 5,784 residents (as of 1 January 2016) in Graz-Umgebung District of Styria, Austria. However, it was previously founded in January 2015 as the town name "''Unterpremstätten-Zettling''". The municipality was founded as part of the Styria municipal structural reform, on 31 December 2014, from the dissolved independent municipalities Unterpremstätten and Zettling. One petition from the municipality Zettling against merging, at the Constitutional Court, was introduced but was unsuccessful. The tournament was held at the Steiermarkhalle, Premstätten from 29 April to 1 May 2022. It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen entered the event as the defending champion, having defeated Ian White 8–7 in the 2019 final. He successfully defended his title with an 8–5 win over Danny Noppert in the final. Zenith (building)
The Kulturhalle Zenith (also known as the Zenith Halle or simply Zenith) is an events hall located in the Schwabing-Freimann borough of Munich, Germany. Originally opening in 1918 as a part of a railway repair shop, the hall was converted into performance venue in 1994. Since its opening in August 1996, it has hosted concerts, fairs and company presentations. History The venue was built in 1918 as Halle 5 of the Ausbesserungswerk München-Freimann. Used as a railway construction and reparation hall, the venue faced massive damage during World War II. The hall reopened in 1927, becoming a boiling shop for locomotives. The 2022 Interwetten German Darts Grand Prix was the third of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2022 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Kulturhalle Zenith, Munich from 16 to 18 April 2022. It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion after defeating Simon Whitlock 8–3 in the 2019 final, but he was whitewashed 7–0 by Luke Humphries in the semi-finals. Humphries went on to win his first European Tour event, defeating Martin Lukeman 8–2 in the final.
