2022 Japan Cup
The 2022 Japan Cup was the 29th edition of the Japan Cup single-day cycling race. It was held on 16 October 2022, over a distance of 144.2 km, starting and finishing in Utsunomiya. The race was won by Neilson Powless of . Teams Five UCI WorldTeams, two UCI ProTeams, eight UCI Continental teams and the Japanese national team made up the 16 teams that participated in the race. 2022 UCI ProSeries
The 2022 UCI ProSeries is the third season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The original calendar consisted of 56 events, of which 30 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 26 are stage races (2.Pro). There are 47 events in Europe, six in Asia, two in the United States, and one in Argentina. Neilson Powless (born September 3, 1996) is an American professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Powless, who is Oneida, is the first US Native American to compete in the Tour de France. Career In August 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Vuelta a España. Powless, along with Jumbo-Visma teammates Robert Gesink, George Bennett and Sepp Kuss, each finished between 27th and 33rd in the overall standings en route to assisting Primož Roglič in winning the race.
