The 2022 Indonesia Masters Super 100 (officially known as the KB Financial Group Indonesia Masters 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament which took place at Platinum Sports Hall in Malang, Indonesia, from 18 to 23 October 2022 and had a total purse of $81,000. Tournament The 2022 Indonesia Masters Super 100 was the fifth and final Super 100 tournament of the 2022 BWF World Tour and also part of the Indonesia Masters Super 100 championships, which had been held since 2018. This tournament was organized by the Badminton Association of Indonesia and sanctioned by the BWF. BWF World Ranking
The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. It is used to determine the qualification for the World Championships and Summer Olympic Games, as well as BWF World Tour tournaments. Seedings of draws at all BWF-sanctioned tournaments are conducted using the BWF World Ranking. Players under 19 years of age are eligible to rank in the BWF World Junior Ranking, which were introduced in January 2011. Sun Feixiang (; born 15 May 1998) is a Chinese badminton player from Yichang. Syabda Perkasa Belawa (25 August 2001 – 20 March 2023) was an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with PB Djarum badminton club from 2013 to 2023, and joined Indonesia national badminton team training center in 2018. Career 2019 In 2019, Syabda was called up to the junior national team for the 2019 Badminton Asia Junior Championships in Suzhou, China, and the BWF World Junior Championships in Kazan, Russia. Lee Chia-hao (; born 4 June 1999) is a Taiwanese badminton player from AP team. Career Lee was born in a badminton family. His father Lee Mou-chou is a former national champion who now works as Land Bank team head coach, and his sister Lee Chia-hsin is a member of national team. Subhankar Dey (born 6 June 1993) is an Indian badminton player. Born in Kolkata, he currently trains in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, at his own badminton academy named Subhankar Dey Badminton Academy. He is also running another Badminton Centre which is in Sodepur, Kolkata. He played for the Bengaluru Blasters and Awadhe Warriors in the Premier Badminton League. Cheam June Wei
Cheam June Wei (born 23 January 1997) is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the mixed doubles gold medalist at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. Career Cheam started playing badminton at aged 8 in Penang. As a junior player, he has been trained by Teh Peng Huat, the former coach of world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei, for more than year before training under task Lim Theam Teow. In 2012, he won the mixed team bronze medal at the Asia Junior Championships in Gimcheon, South Korea. Soong Joo Ven (; born 19 May 1995) is a Malaysian badminton player. He was part of the Malaysian team that won gold in the 2011 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team event. Career 2011-2017 He won silver medal at the 2012 Asia Junior Championships in the boys' singles event after losing to Kento Momota of Japan. Son Wan-ho (Hangul: 손완호; or ; born 17 May 1988) is a South Korean badminton player. He reached a career high as world number 1 in the men's singles in May 2017. He competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. He plays primarily defensively, and began playing badminton after a teacher suggested it to him in elementary school. Weng Hongyang (; born 18 June 1999) is a Chinese badminton player. He won his first BWF World Tour title at the 2019 Lingshui China Masters. Career Early career Weng entered the Fuzhou Sports School in 2006, and later the Fujian Sports School in 2009. Parupalli Kashyap (born 8 September 1986) is an Indian badminton player. A former World No.6, he trains at Gopichand Badminton Academy. He was awarded the Arjuna Award by the Government of India in 2012. He created history by reaching the quarter-finals of men's singles at the 2012 London Olympics, being the first male player from India to do so.
