2022 World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships
The 2022 World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships were the 29th edition of the global team racewalking competition organised by World Athletics. Overview New 35 km senior men's and women's races were introduced, instead of the 50 km race. The rest of the programme was unchanged, with senior men's and women's races over 20 km and junior category events for both sexes over 10 km. Lázaro Martínez (triple Jumper)
Lázaro Martínez Santray (born 3 November 1997) is a Cuban athlete who specialises in the triple jump and the long jump. He is a former World Junior Championship record holder for the triple jump with an attempt of 17.13 m jumped at the 2014 edition in Eugene, Oregon, and also holds the former world youth best in the triple jump, with an attempt of 17.24 m jumped in Havana. Early life Martínez was born to former 400 metres runner Isabel Contreras. He initially practised several sports, including basketball and judo, until he was about 10 years old. It was his mother who encouraged him to take up athletics and linked him up with a friend and coach. Martínez has stated that he initially did not like athletics, but after doing a test with the said coach he was told he had the potential to enter the provincial sports school. Ivana Vuleta
Ivana Vuleta (; sr-cyr, Ивана Вулета, , ; born 10 May 1990) is a Serbian long jumper, two-time World indoor champion, three times European indoor champion and reigning European champion. In 2013, Vuleta became the first Serbian track and field athlete to win a medal at the IAAF Outdoor World Championships. In 2018, she became the first Serbian track and field athlete to win a world senior gold medal at the IAAF Indoor World Championships. She is the Serbian record holder in the long jump, indoors and outdoors, and also she is the national indoor record holder in the 60 metres and in the pentathlon. Miltiadis "Miltos" Tentoglou ( el, Μιλτιάδης Τεντόγλου ; born 18 March 1998) is a Greek long jumper. He won the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In 2022, Tentoglou became the World Indoor champion jumping the current Greek indoor record of 8.55 metres, which places him sixth on the respective world all-time list, and took silver at the outdoor World Championships. Sandi Morris (born July 8, 1992) is an American pole vault record holder. She won the silver medal in the pole vault event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She also won silver at the pole vault event at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics and another silver at the 2019 World Championships in Athletics. Yaroslava Oleksiyivna Mahuchikh ( uk, Ярослава Олексіївна Магучіх; ; born 19 September 2001) is a Ukrainian high jumper. Stanley Grant Holloway (born November 19, 1997) is an American hurdler and sprinter. He is the 2019 and 2022 world champion in the 110 meters hurdles, 2020 Olympic silver medalist in the same event, and current world record holder in the indoor 60 m hurdles, with a time of 7.29 seconds which he set on February 24, 2021.
