Elections were held in Frontenac County, Ontario on October 24, 2022, in conjunction with municipal elections across the province. Frontenac County Council Frontenac County Council consists of the mayors of each of the four constituent municipalities plus an additional councillor from each municipality. Frontenac County, Ontario
Frontenac County is a county and census division of the Canadian province of Ontario. It is located in the eastern portion of Southern Ontario. The city of Kingston is in the Frontenac census division, but is separated from the County of Frontenac. Historical evolution The county of Frontenac, situated within the Mecklenburg District, was originally created as an electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Upper Canada in 1792 and its original limits were described as being: Mecklenburg was renamed as the "Midland District" in 1792. 2022 Ontario Municipal Elections
The 2022 municipal elections in Ontario were held on October 24, 2022. Voters in the province of Ontario elected mayors, councillors, school board trustees and all other elected officials in all of the province's municipalities. In total, 32 of Ontario's 444 municipalities will not hold elections, as their entire councils were elected by acclamation. In total, 139 municipalities had their mayors or reeves acclaimed.
