Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. Players who are successful on the Challenge Tour qualify for membership of the European Tour the following year. Twenty players earn direct promotion to the European Tour. Vincent Norrman
Vincent Oliver Norrman (born 24 December 1997) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2023 Barbasol Championship, as well as the 2023 Horizon Irish Open. As an amateur, he was part of the Swedish team winning the 2019 European Amateur Team Championship. Early life Norrman was born on Christmas Eve and grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, with his parents Eva and Claes and his sister Vendela. He has represented Haninge Golf Club through his career and been a club mate of tournament professionals and European Tour winners Alex Norén and Kristoffer Broberg. Amateur career He played on the Georgia Southwestern State Hurricanes golf team from 2016 to 2020 and for Florida State Seminoles in 2021, where he was named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Golf Player of the Year. Barbasol Championship
The Barbasol Championship is a professional golf tournament in Kentucky on the PGA Tour; it debuted in 2015 as an alternate event to The Open Championship in Britain in July. The first three editions of the tournament were played in Alabama at the Grand National course of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Opelika, northeast of Auburn. Nathan Kimsey
Nathan Kimsey (born 21 March 1993) is an English professional golfer. In 2022, he won the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final and the Challenge Tour Rankings. Amateur career Kimsey, from Woodhall Spa Golf Club in Lincolnshire, were an integral part of the England squad between 2010 and 2013. Karl Simon Forsström (born 1 April 1989) is a Swedish professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour, where he has won once. Amateur career Forsström played for AIK Golf Club. Soudal Open
The Belgian Open (name owned by the Royal Belgian Golf Federation) is a men's golf tournament which has been played intermittently from 1910 to 2000. All editions since 1978 have been part of the European Tour. Jens Morgan Dantorp (born 28 April 1989) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the Challenge Tour. He has won three times on the Challenge Tour. Professional career Dantorp turned professional in 2008 and played on the Nordic Golf League, winning eight times between 2008 and 2012. He won four tournaments in 2011 and topped the Order of Merit. Thriston Lawrence (born 3 December 1996) is a South African professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour and the Sunshine Tour. He claimed his maiden victory on the European Tour in the weather-shortened Joburg Open in 2021 and also won the 2022 Investec South African Open Championship. The South African Open is one of the oldest national open golf championships in the world, having first been played in 1903, and is one of the principal tournaments on the Southern-Africa-based Sunshine Tour. Since 1997 it has also been co-sanctioned by the European Tour. History The first formal event was organised in 1903, following a series of exhibition matches that had been held over the preceding ten years. Clément Sordet
Clément Sordet (born 22 October 1992) is a French professional golfer. Sordet played college golf at Texas Tech where he won six times. After graduating in 2015 and playing in the Palmer Cup, Sordet turned professional. He began playing on the Challenge Tour. In August 2015, he won his first tournament as a professional, at the Northern Ireland Open, playing on a national invitation. It was only his fourth event as a professional.
