2022 Bulgarian Cup Final
The 2022 Bulgarian Cup Final was the final match of the 2021–22 Bulgarian Cup and the 82nd final of the Bulgarian Cup. The final originally should have been on 11 May 2022 at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia. On 28 April the date has been confirmed, but on the next day the Bulgarian Professional Football League and the Bulgarian Football Union announced a revised schedule, in which the game was set for 15 May 2022. The clubs contesting the final were PFC CSKA Sofia, CSKA Sofia and PFC Levski Sofia, Levski Sofia. This was the 17th occasion of the Eternal derby of Bulgarian football, Eternal derby as a cup final and the first since 2005 Bulgarian Cup Final, 2005. For CSKA, this was the third consecutive final appearance and 35th overall, whereas for Levski, it was the first since 2018 Bulgarian Cup Final, 2018 and 38th overall. 2021–22 Bulgarian Cup
The 2021–22 Bulgarian Cup was the 40th official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. It was sponsored by ''Sesame'' and known as the Sesame Kupa na Bulgaria for sponsorship purposes. The competition began on 4 September 2021 with the preliminary round and finished with the final on 15 May 2022. CSKA Sofia were the defending cup winners. They reached the final for 3rd consecutive time, but lost to Levski Sofia, who won the cup for a record 26th time and also qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League. FC Hebar ( bg, Футболен клуб Хебър) is a Bulgarian association Association football, football club based in Pazardzhik. Thomas Anton Rudolph Lam (born 18 December 1993), is a Finnish-Dutch professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or defensive midfielder for Melbourne City and the Finland national football team. Ivan Georgiev Turitsov ( bg, Иван Георгиев Турицов; born 18 July 1999) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a defender for CSKA Sofia. Career After progressing through the youth system at Litex Lovech, Turitsov joined CSKA Sofia's academy in July 2016, aged 17. Gustavo Busatto (born 23 October 1990) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Bulgarian First League club CSKA Sofia. He began his career with Grêmio, from whom he had loan spells with ASA and Icasa before joining América-RN permanently in 2015.
