Ivan Turitsov
Ivan Georgiev Turitsov ( bg, Иван Георгиев Турицов; born 18 July 1999) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a defender for CSKA Sofia. Career After progressing through the youth system at Litex Lovech, Turitsov joined CSKA Sofia's academy in July 2016, aged 17. In April 2017, after impressing with the U19 squad, he was promoted to the CSKA Sofia II. On 30 April 2017, Turitsov made his senior debut, playing full 90 minutes in a 2–3 home loss against Etar in the Second League. In July 2017, Turitsov was loaned back to Litex Lovech to gain experience as a first-team player. He made his debut on 22 July 2017 in a 2–0 home win against Strumska Slava and amassed 36 league appearances over one and a half seasons. After a successful loan spell with Litex, Turitsov officially returned to CSKA on 15 February 2019. He made his First League debut four days later, in a 2–1 home win against Botev Vratsa. Pleven
Pleven ( bg, Плèвен ) is the seventh most populous city in Bulgaria. Located in the northern part of the country, it is the administrative centre of Pleven Province, as well as of the subordinate Pleven municipality. It is the biggest economic center in Northwestern Bulgaria. At the 2021 census its population was 89,823. 2020–21 Bulgarian Cup
The 2020–21 Bulgarian Cup was the 39th official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began on 29 September 2020 with the preliminary round and finished with the final on 19 May 2021. Lokomotiv Plovdiv were the defending cup winners, but were eliminated after extra time by Ludogorets Razgrad in the quarter-finals. After CSKA Sofia missed out on the cup after losing last year's final, this time they won it against Arda Kardzhali for their 21st cup title and qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League. Bulgarian Cup
The Bulgarian Cup ( bg, Купа на България, Kupa na Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian annual football competition. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it. The tournament's format is ''single-elimination'', with all matches being one-legged, except the semi-finals. The competition's winner gets the right to take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League. If the winner has already secured a place through the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the team that has come ''fourth'' in the championship substitutes it. The competition has been dominated by Sofia-based teams. The Sofia teams have won together a total number of 65 titles. The three most successful teams are Levski Sofia (26 cups), CSKA Sofia (21 cups) and Slavia Sofia (8 cups). The current cup holders are Levski Sofia, who beat CSKA Sofia 1–0 in the 2022 final.
