The 2022 Berlin Thunder season is the second season of the Berlin Thunder team in the European League of Football. Preseason The Berlin Thunder started to resign their players on October 21, 2021 for the 2022 ELF season with the signing of leading rusher Joc Crawford. For this season the Berlin franchise introduced the league wide first season tickets for their home games. The Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark is a multi-purpose sports complex located in the western part of the locality of Prenzlauer Berg in the borough of Pankow in Berlin. The sports complex covers an area of approximately 22 hectares and comprises several facilities. The main building is the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion. The stadium is the third-largest stadium in Berlin, after the Olympiastadion and the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, with a capacity of approximately 20,000 seats, of which 15,000 are covered. Currently, the main tenants are FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin and Berlin Thunder. Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark was the venue for the 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships. 2022 Raiders Tirol Season
The 2022 Raiders Tirol season is the inaugural season of the newly formed Raiders Tirol team in the second season of the European League of Football. Preseason The Raiders Tirol joined the ELF via a press release on September 25, 2021, after winning multiple times their national league AFL. On the November 14, 2021 the Raiders confirmed Kevin Herron as their headcoach for the 2022 ELF season and later confirmed in an interview, that their official name of the team will be Raiders Tirol in dropping the name sponsorship. 2022 Panthers Wrocław Season
The 2022 Panthers Wrocław season is the second season of the Panthers Wrocław team in the European League of Football, after moving over from the Polish league Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego, LFA in 2021. Preseason Shortly after the end of the 2021 European League of Football season the franchise announced the re-hiring of head coach Jakub Samel. The first player signed for the upcoming season was former Clemson Tigers football captain Darius Robinson. In the beginning of 2022 the Panthers acquired the services of Gary Kubiak as a football advisor for players and coaching staff. Südstadion is a football stadium in Cologne, Germany with an 11,748 capacity including 1,863 covered seats. History The stadium was built in 1978 and renovated in 2012, adding a new stand roof, new floodlights, new sounds system, sanitary installations and also ticket booths. The 2022 Leipzig Kings season in the European League of Football is the second season in the Leipzig Kings history. Preseason The franchise began late in the preseason with player signings. The first one was the signing of former Kings running backs coach David McCants and one day later European veteran A.J. Wentland. Leipzig starting quarterback Michael Birdsong announced on March 21, 2022 that he will retire from his professional football career. His replacement for the 2022 season is Jordan Barlow, who was the starting quarterback for the Southwestern Assemblies of God University and won the Victory Bowl in 2021 as well as being named the offensive MVP of the championship game.
