The 2022 BWF Para-Badminton World Championships (officially known as the HULIC DAIHATSU BWF Para Badminton World Championships 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was held from November 1 to 6, 2022. Yoyogi National Gymnasium
Yoyogi National Gymnasium, officially is an indoor arena located at Yoyogi Park in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, which is famous for its suspension roof design. It was designed by Kenzo Tange and built between 1961 and 1964 to house swimming and diving events in the 1964 Summer Olympics. A separate annex was used for the basketball competition at those same games. It will also host handball competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The design inspired Frei Otto's arena designs for the Olympic Stadium in Munich. The arena holds 13,291 people (9,079 stand seats, 4,124 arena seats and 88 "royal box" seats) and is now primarily used for ice hockey, futsal and basketball. The NHK World studios are adjacent to the arena along the edge of Yoyogi Park. Therefore, images of the arena are regularly featured at the end of NHK Newsline broadcasts. Manoj Sarkar (born 12 January 1990) is an Indian para-badminton player. He has won 50 international medals in which he have 19 gold medals, 13 silver medals & 18 bronze medals. Cheah Liek Hou (; born 8 March 1988) is a Malaysian nationality law, Malaysian para-badminton player. He is an 11-time winner (both Class SU5 singles and doubles events) of the BWF Para-Badminton World Championships.
