2022 Asia Road Racing Championship
The 2022 Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship was the 27th season of the Asia Road Racing Championship. The season started on 25 March at Chang International Circuit in Thailand and ended on 20 November back at Chang International Circuit. Calendar and results Calendar changes * Prior to the start of the season, Round 3 was scheduled to be held between 1–3 July at a circuit that was to be announced later. However, it was announced on 28 May that the Round 4 stop at Sportsland Sugo scheduled for 12–14 August would act as the new Round 3. * On 22 July, it was announced that the Round 4 stop at Zhuhai International Circuit was moved to Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia due to COVID-19 restrictions in China. Asia Road Racing Championship
The FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (known as Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship for sponsorship reason) is the regional motorcycle road racing championship for Asia, held since 1996. This championship is part of the production-based category of racing, similar to the Supersport World Championship, British Supersport Championship, AMA Supersport Championship and Australian Supersport Championship. Modified versions of road-going motorcycles available to the public are featured in the race. The championship is currently divided into four open-make classes - the ASB1000 (Asia Superbikes), SuperSports 600cc, Asia Production 250cc and Underbone 150cc. Khairul Idham Pawi (born 20 September 1998) is a Malaysian motorcycle racer. He is the youngest non-European to win a Grand Prix, accomplishing this feat in the Argentine race of the 2016 Moto3 World Championship, aged just 17. is a Japanese motorcycle road racer. He is a two-time champion in the All-Japan Superbike Championship, and has competed sporadically in the MotoGP World Championship. He is known in his native Japan as a competitor in the MFJ All Japan Road Race GP250 Championship, and most notably the All Japan Superbike championship, where he has enjoyed success with the Yoshimura Suzuki team riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000. Gerry Salim Laurens (born in Surabaya, 19 April 1997), is a motorcycle racer from Indonesia. Racing Career Gerry started his career in the mid-2000s.
