2022 Appalachian State Mountaineers Football Team
The 2022 Appalachian State Mountaineers football team represented Appalachian State University during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Mountaineers are led by third-year head coach Shawn Clark. Appalachian State plays their home games at Kidd Brewer Stadium on the school's Boone, North Carolina, campus, and compete as a member of the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference. Previous season The Mountaineers finished the 2021 season 10–4, 7–1 in Sun Belt play to finish in first place in the East division. As a result, they earned a trip to the Sun Belt Conference Championship Game where they lost to Louisiana. The Sun Belt Conference (SBC) is a collegiate athletic conference that has been affiliated with the NCAA's Division I since 1976. New Orleans Saints

Marietta College

Shepherd University is a public university in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the university enrolled 3,159 students in Fall 2020. Camerun Peoples (born September 14, 1999) is an American football running back who is a free agent. He played college football at Appalachian State. Early life Peoples grew up in Lineville, Alabama and attended Central High School of Clay County. As a senior, he rushed for 1,672 yards and 21 touchdowns on 230 carries. He also had a punt and kickoff return for a touchdown. Peoples would decide to commit to Appalachian State to play college football.
