Camerun Peoples
Camerun Peoples (born September 14, 1999) is an American football running back who is a free agent. He played college football at Appalachian State. Early life Peoples grew up in Lineville, Alabama and attended Central High School of Clay County. As a senior, he rushed for 1,672 yards and 21 touchdowns on 230 carries. He also had a punt and kickoff return for a touchdown. Peoples would decide to commit to Appalachian State to play college football. College career Peoples would play five years at Appalachian State, rushing for 2,830 yards and 33 touchdowns on 455 carries. He also added 11 receptions for 77 yards. In the Mountaineers first game of the 2019 season against East Tennessee State, Peoples would tear his ACL and miss the rest of the season. Peoples best season would come in the 2020 season where he rushed for 1,124 yards, and 12 touchdowns, on 168 carries. He also caught three passes for 15 yards. Running Back
A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. The primary roles of a running back are to receive American football plays#Offensive terminology, handoffs from the quarterback to Rush (American football)#Offense, rush the ball, to line up as a receiver to catch the ball, and Blocking (American football), block. There are usually one or two running backs on the field for a given play, depending on the offensive formation. Anterior Cruciate Ligament
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross. This name is fitting because the ACL crosses the posterior cruciate ligament to form an “X”. It is composed of strong, fibrous material and assists in controlling excessive motion. This is done by limiting mobility of the joint. In professional sports, a free agent is a player who is eligible to sign with other clubs or franchises; i.e., not under contract to any specific team. The National Football League Draft, also called the NFL Draft or (officially) the Player Selection Meeting, is an annual event which serves as the league's most common source of player recruitment. Each team is given a position in the drafting order in reverse order relative to its record in the previous year, which means that the last place team is positioned first and the Super Bowl champion is last. From this position, the team can either select a player or trade its position to another team for other draft positions, a player or players, or any combination thereof. Lineville, Alabama
Lineville is a city in Clay County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 2,489. History Native Americans were the first to inhabit the area now known as Lineville. The Creek Indian War of 1813, however, resulted in their removal. The first white settlers in the area were William and Thomas Lundie. Their settlement became known as Lundie's Cross Roads after a trading post opened in the 1830s to serve pioneers and miners searching for gold. In 1856, Lundie's Cross Roads became known as County Line, probably for the Baptist Church, founded in 1848 and located on what was then the boundary line between Talladega and Randolph counties. Also in 1856, a post office was established in County Line, schools were consolidated and corn and cotton became cash crops.
