The 2022 All-SEC football team consists of American football players selected to the All- Southeastern Conference (SEC) chosen by the '' Associated Press'' (AP) and the conference coaches for the 2022 Southeastern Conference football season. Georgia won the conference, defeating LSU 50–30 in the SEC Championship. Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker was voted the conference's Offensive Player of the Year (AP and Coaches). Alabama outside linebacker Will Anderson Jr. was voted the Defensive Player of the Year (AP and Coaches) for the second year in a row. Georgia placekicker Jack Podlesny was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year. Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins was voted SEC Newcomer/Freshman of the Year (AP and Coaches). 2022 Southeastern Conference Football Season
The 2022 Southeastern Conference football season is the 90th season of Southeastern Conference (SEC) football, taking place during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The season began on August 27, 2022 and ended with the 2022 SEC Championship Game on December 3, 2022. The SEC is a Power Five conference as part of the College Football Playoff system. Previous season Alabama defeated Georgia 41–24 in the 2021 SEC Championship Game. Alabama and Georgia were selected to play in the 2022 College Football Playoff. Quinshon Judkins
Quinshon A. Judkins (born October 29, 2003) is an American football running back who will play for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He previously played for the Ole Miss Rebels. Early life and high school Judkins grew up in Pike Road, Alabama and attended Pike Road High School. He was named first team Class 5A All-State as a junior after rushing for 1,482 yards and 25 touchdowns on 150 carries. Judkins rushed for 1,534 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior. He was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at Ole Miss over offers from Auburn and Notre Dame. O'Cyrus Torrence (born January 20, 2000) is an American football offensive guard for the Florida Gators. He previously played for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns before transferring to Florida in 2022, where he named a consensus All-American. Jonathan Ondreal Mingo (born April 20, 2001) is an American football wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ole Miss. Early life and high school Mingo grew up in Brandon, Mississippi, and attended Brandon High School. Andrew Ladd McConkey (born November 11, 2001) is an American football wide receiver for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Georgia, winning two national championships and the 2023 Wuerffel Trophy. He was selected by the Chargers in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft.
