2022 ACC Women's T20 Championship
The 2022 ACC Women's T20 Championship was a women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket tournament that was held in Malaysia from 17 to 25 June 2022. The tournament was organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the top two sides qualified for the 2022 Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup. The series was the last to be played at the Kinrara Academy Oval before the ground closed on 30 June 2022. The tournament was contested by 10 teams, including the hosts Malaysia, as well as Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Singapore and United Arab Emirates. The ACC Women's Championship was last contested in 2013. The tournament began with comfortable victories for Nepal and Malaysia, before both afternoon matches were both abandoned after rain stopped play. Asian Cricket Council
The Asian Cricket Council also known as ACC is a cricket organisation which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of cricket in Asia. Subordinate to the International Cricket Council, the council is the continent's regional administrative body, and currently consists of 26 member associations. Jay Shah is the current president of Asian Cricket Council. History The council was formed as the Asian Cricket Conference in New Delhi, India, on 19 September 1983, with the original members being Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. Nepal Women's National Cricket Team
The Nepal national women's cricket team represents Nepal in international women's cricket. They made their international debut in the ACC Women's Tournament in Malaysia in July 2007. Nepal has been participating in various international tournaments since then. Nepal's current captain is Rubina Chhetry, coach is Shyam Sun Jung Thapa and manager is Sanjaya Raj Singh. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members. Yasmin Daswani (born 21 September 1994) is an English-born Hong Kong women's cricketer and lawyer who represents the Hong Kong national women's national cricket team in international cricket. Kary Chan (; born 13 March 1997) is a Hong Kong cricketer and the captain of the Hong Kong women's national cricket team. Anju Gurung
Anju Gurung (born 10 April 1994) is a Bhutanese cricketer who plays for the national women's cricket team as a pace bowler. She is currently the vice-captain of the team, and a household name in Bhutan. Early life and career Gurung hails from Gelephu, a small Bhutanese town on the border with India. She first played cricket at the age of 13. One day, her primary school sports teacher announced that a new game named cricket was going to be introduced. The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. The captain of a cricket team, often referred to as the skipper, is the appointed leader, having several additional roles and responsibilities over and above those of the other players. Deepika Rasangika (born 13 December 1983) is a Sri Lankan cricketer who now plays for the Bahrain women's cricket team. Net Run Rate
Net run rate (NRR) is a statistical method used in analysing teamwork and/or performance in cricket. It is the most commonly used method of ranking teams with equal points in limited overs league competitions, similar to goal difference in football. The NRR in a single game is the average runs per over that team scores, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them. The NRR in a tournament is the average runs per over that a team scores across the whole tournament, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them across the whole tournament. This is the same as the weighted average of the run rates scored in each match (weighted by the lengths of the innings batted compared to the other innings batted), minus the weighted average of the run rates conceded in each match (weighted by the lengths of the innings bowled compared to the other innings bowled). The result in a game of cricket may be a "win" for one of the two teams playing, or a "tie". In the case of a limited overs game, the game can also end with "no result" if the game can't be finished on time (usually due to weather or bad light), and in other forms of cricket, a "draw" may be possible. United Arab Emirates Women's National Cricket Team
The United Arab Emirates women's national cricket team represents United Arab Emirates in international women's cricket and is organised by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). History Its international debut was at the 2007 ACC Women's Tournament in Malaysia. It lost all three of its matches, and on debut against Bangladesh were bowled out for nine runs, in a match which took one hour to complete.
