2021–22 REMA 1000-ligaen (women's Handball)
The 2021–22 REMA 1000-ligaen is the 55th season of REMA 1000-ligaen, Norway's premier handball league. Team information A total of 14 teams will be participating in the 2021/22 edition of REMA 1000-ligaen. 13 teams were qualified directly from the 2020/21 season, as no team was relegated last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Only Follo HK from the First Division, was promoted to REMA 1000-ligaen. Regular season This season, the three teams placing 12th, 13th and 14th will be relegated to the First Division, and the teams placing 9th, 10th and 11th will have to play a relegation playoff tournament. REMA 1000-ligaen (women's Handball)
REMA 1000-ligaen is the premier women's professional Team handball, handball league for Norwegian handball clubs. It is administered by the Norwegian Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Norwegian champions. It was established in 1968, and it is currently contested by thirteen teams. Larvik HK, which has dominated the competition in recent years, is the championship's most successful team with eighteen titles, followed by IL Vestar and Byåsen IL with nine and five respectively. The league has previously been known as eliteserien, Gildeserien, Postenligaen and GRUNDIGligaen. Currently the winner of the championship play-offs is granted a spot in the EHF Women's Champions League, EHF Champions League's group stage. The twelve teams of the 2022–23 season. Aker Topphåndball is a Norwegian women's handball club from Bygdøy, Norway. It was established in the 2016. It took over the league licence from Njård IL and Ullern IF and is playing in the Eliteserien. They usually play in black shirts and black shorts. Rælingen is a village and municipality in Akershus in Viken county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Romerike.
