Newcastle United Jets Football Club, commonly known as Newcastle Jets, is an Australian professional soccer club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. It competes in the country's premier competition, the A-League, under licence from The Australian Professional Leagues (APL). formerly under licence by Football Australia. The club was formed in 2000 when it joined the National Soccer League (NSL) and was one of only three former NSL clubs to join in the formation of the A-League. Newcastle Jets have won one A-League championship, after defeating rivals Central Coast Mariners 1–0 in the 2008 A-League Grand Final. Ben Kantarovski
Benjamin Kantarovski ( mk, Бенјамин Кантаровски) (born 20 January 1992) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder. Ben is the older brother of former Newcastle Jets FC player Michael Kantarovski. He holds the current record of A League appearances for the Newcastle Jets. Club career Newcastle Jets Kantarovski was signed to a four-year contract by the Newcastle Jets in January 2008 while attending Lambton High School at only 15 years of age, making him the youngest player in A-League history to sign a full-time A-League contract, and one of the youngest players in world football to do so. Taylor Regan
Taylor Francis George Regan (born 16 November 1988) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays as a defender for Charlestown Azzurri. Career Newcastle Jets Regan joined the Jets as part of the youth system in 2008 from state league club Azzurri FC. He captained the team and played primarily as a center back. On 3 June 2010 his strong performances were rewarded with a one-year contract. Taylor Regan made his Debut on 16 October 2010 in Round 10 against Brisbane Roar. Valentino Yuel (born 12 October 1994) is a South Sudanese professional footballer who plays as a winger for Western Sydney Wanderers. Club career Western United Yuel was signed by new club Western United ahead of the 2019–20 A-League. He left the club at the end of the 2019–20 season. Kosta Grozos (born 10 August 2000) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a central midfielder for Newcastle Jets. Career Western Sydney Wanderers In 2017, Grozos was awarded the Wanderer's NPL Player of the Year having scored 11 goals in 13 games for the Youth team in their NPL NSW 2 campaign. Grozos was part of the 2017-18 Y-League championship winning Western Sydney Wanderers Youth team. Dylan Murnane (born 18 January 1995) is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays as a left back. Mohamed Al-Taay (born 15 June 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for A-League club Wellington Phoenix. Born in Australia, he represents the Iraq national team. Brandon James Wilson (born 28 January 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Liga 1 club Bali United.
