2021–22 Milwaukee Bucks Season
The 2021–22 Milwaukee Bucks season is the 54th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Bucks entered the season as defending champions after winning the 2021 NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns in the previous season in six games being the first team since the 2005–06 Miami Heat to come back after trailing 2-0. On August 20, 2021, the NBA announced that the regular season for the league would begin October 19, 2021 and would return to the normal 82-game schedule for the first time since the 2018–19 season. The Bucks beat the Chicago Bulls in the first round in five games and in the second round will be set to face the Boston Celtics for the third time in five seasons. Mike Budenholzer
Michael Vincent Budenholzer (born August 6, 1969) is an American professional basketball coach who is the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before joining the Bucks, he spent five seasons as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks and 19 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, serving as an alternate video coordinator for the first two seasons and then as an assistant coach behind head coach Gregg Popovich. In 2021, Budenholzer coached the Bucks to their first NBA championship since 1971. As a protégé of Gregg Popovich, Budenholzer is, similar to his mentor, commonly referred to by other coaches, players and media as "Bud" or "Coach Bud". The 2021–22 Boston Celtics season is the 76th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Following the Celtics' first-round exit to the Brooklyn Nets in five games from last season, Danny Ainge left his role as the General Manager. Brad Stevens got promoted as the next President of Basketball Operations soon after. The Celtics hired Ime Udoka as the next head coach on June 28, 2021. With the Portland Trail Blazers missing the postseason for the first time since 2013, the Celtics now hold the longest active playoff streak, making the playoffs every year since the 2014–15 season. Tremont Waters (born January 10, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for the LSU Tigers. Early life and high school career Waters played at South Kent School, a private all-boys school in Connecticut for three years. The 2021–22 Brooklyn Nets season was the 46th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), 55th season overall, and its 10th season playing in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. FedExForum is a multi-purpose arena located in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee. It is the home of the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA and the NCAA Division I men's basketball program of the University of Memphis, both of whom previously played home games at the Memphis Pyramid. The venue also has the capability of hosting ice hockey games, concerts, and family shows. Justin Robinson (born October 12, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Illawarra Hawks of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Virginia Tech Hokies. Early life and high school career Robinson grew up in Manassas, Virginia. Patrick Bergin Connaughton ( ; born January 6, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he primarily plays as a shooting guard. The 2021–22 Memphis Grizzlies season was the 27th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and 21st in Memphis. On December 2, 2021, the Grizzlies defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder by an NBA record–setting 73 points, with a final score of 152–79; at one point they led by 78 points (148–70) in the final minutes of the game, but the 73-point margin is still the largest margin of victory in NBA history. The previous record was a Cleveland Cavaliers 68–point blowout win over the Miami Heat, 148–80, on December 17, 1991 that game had held the record for nearly three decades.
