The 2021–22 Melbourne Stars season was the eleventh in the club's history. Melbourne Stars
The Melbourne Stars are an Australian Twenty20 franchise cricket team, based in Melbourne, Victoria that competes in Australia's Twenty20 competition, the Big Bash League. The Stars wear a green uniform and play their home matches at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Glenn Maxwell, recently achieved the highest individual score in Big Bash League history, scoring 154* against the Hobart Hurricanes at the MCG. Marcus Stoinis
Marcus Peter Stoinis (born 16 August 1989) is an Australian cricketer who plays limited overs cricket for the Australian national team. He is contracted to Western Australia and Melbourne Stars domestically, and has previously also played for Perth Scorchers and Victoria as an all rounder. Early life Stoinis is an Australian of Greek heritage, he was born in Perth, and represented Western Australia at both under-17 and under-19 level. Stoinis played for the Australian under-19 cricket team at the 2008 ICC Under-19 World Cup. The following year, he represented Australia at the Hong Kong Sixes. Liam Hatcher (born 17 September 1996) is an Australian cricketer. He made his List A debut for Cricket Australia XI on 5 October 2015 in the 2015–16 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup. Jackson Coleman
Jackson Coleman (born 18 December 1991) is an Australian cricketer. He made his List A debut for Victoria in the 2016–17 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup on 5 October 2016. Prior to his debut, he was part of Australia's squad for the 2010 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In 2017, he represented Cricket Australia XI in the 2017–18 JLT One-Day Cup. Domestic career Coleman was in the Cricket Australia XI squad for the 2017–18 JLT One-Day Cup. Nathan Coulter-Nile
Nathan Mitchell Coulter-Nile (born 11 October 1987) is an Australian cricketer who has played at One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International level for the Australian national side. Domestically, he is contracted to Western Australia and the Melbourne Stars. From Perth, Western Australia, Coulter-Nile attended Aquinas College, and represented the state under-17 and under-19 teams, later going on to play three youth ODI matches for the Australian national under-19 team. Andre Fletcher (born 28 November 1987) is a Grenadian cricketer who plays internationally for the West Indies. He is a right-handed batsman and often keeps wicket. He played domestic cricket for Windward Islands and Grenada. He was one of the few international cricketers to have come from Grenada. Nicholas Pooran
Nicholas Pooran (; born 2 October 1995) is a Trinidadian cricketer who currently plays for the West Indies cricket team in limited overs cricket and a former captain of the limited-overs formats. He also plays for the Trinidad and Tobago in West Indian domestic matches. He made his international debut for the West Indies in September 2016. In May 2022, Pooran was named as the captain of the West Indies team for limited overs cricket. On 21 November 2022, Pooran stepped down as the limited-overs captain of the West Indies team. Seb Gotch
Sebastian Edward Gotch (born 12 July 1993) is an Australian former cricketer who played as a wicket-keeper batsman. He made his List A debut for Cricket Australia XI on 5 October 2015 in the 2015–16 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup and his debut in the 2016–17 Big Bash League season for the Melbourne Stars in January 2017. He made his first-class debut for Victoria in the 2016–17 Sheffield Shield season on 25 February 2017. Hilton William Raymond Cartwright (born 14 February 1992) is a Zimbabwean born Australian international cricketer who plays for Western Australia and the Melbourne Stars.
