2021–22 Kent State Golden Flashes Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball team represented Kent State University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Flashes, led by 11th-year head coach Rob Senderoff, played their home games at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, also known as the MAC Center, in Kent, Ohio as members of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). It is the program's 106th season of play and 71st as a member of the MAC. Previous season The Golden Flashes finished the 2020–21 season 15–8 overall, 12–6 in MAC play to finish fourth place in conference. They lost to Ohio in the first round of the MAC tournament. Rob Senderoff
Robert Andrew Senderoff (born July 25, 1973) is the head men's basketball coach at Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball, Kent State University. The winningest and longest-tenured coach in program history, he has led the Flashes to a Mid-American Conference regular season title as well as NCAA Tournament appearances in 2017 and 2023. Personal and early life Senderoff is a native of Spring Valley, New York. He played basketball for his high school team. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from University at Albany in 1995, and was also a student assistant with the basketball program. He then moved on to Miami University, where he was a graduate assistant and earned a master's degree in sports studies in 1997. He is married to Lauren (née Edelstein), with a son and daughter, Ray and Samantha. He is Jewish, and is a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Hudson, Ohio, and lives in Stow, Ohio. The Georgia Bulldogs men's basketball program is the men's college basketball team representing the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Duquesne Dukes Men's Basketball
The Duquesne Dukes represent Duquesne University in college basketball. The team, which started in 1914, has only ever played in NCAA Division I and has had five appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Dukes play in the Atlantic 10 Conference, of which they have been members since 1976 (minus the 1992–93 season in which the Dukes were single-season members of the Midwestern Collegiate Conference). Sincere Carry (born September 15, 1999) is an American basketball player who is a free agent. He played college basketball for the Kent State Golden Flashes and the Duquesne Dukes. Early life and high school career Carry grew up in Hermitage, Pennsylvania and became friends with Kevin Bekelja's son Mike. When Bekelja moved to Solon, Ohio, he asked Carry's mother if he could take him with him and become his legal guardian, and she agreed. In sixth grade, Carry was a top player, with a highlight video garnering thousands of views on YouTube. He attended Solon High School, and broke a growth plate in his hand his freshman season, subsequently dealing with bone chips in his knees. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. Daniel Pippen (born November 12, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for Kobrat of the Finnish Korisliiga. He played college basketball for the Kent State Golden Flashes. High school career Pippen attended Allen Academy in Detroit, Michigan and played alongside Rocket Watts. As a junior, he averaged 16 points and eight rebounds per game.
