2021–22 Indian Super League
The 2021–22 Indian Super League season was the eighth season of the Indian Super League (ISL) since its formation in 2013 and the 26th season of the top division of Indian football league system. The season started on 19 November 2021 and concluded with the 2022 Indian Super League Final, final on 20 March 2022. Sunil Chhetri
Sunil Chhetri (, born 3 August 1984) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Indian Super League club Bengaluru and captains the India national team. He is the all-time top scorer in Indian Super League history. He is known for his link-up play, goal scoring abilities, and leadership. Malé is the capital and most populous city of the Maldives. Farukh Haji Kasam Choudhary (born 8 November 1996) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League club Chennaiyin and the India national team. Dasharath Rangasala ( ; ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. It is named after Dasharath Chand, one of the four great martyrs of Nepal. The stadium is used mostly for football matches and cultural programmes. The stadium has also been the only host of the inaugural 2021 Nepal Super League season. History The stadium was built in 1956. It was built over a large lotus pond. On 13 March 1988, the 1988 Kathmandu stadium disaster occurred. About 30,000 people were present in the stadium to watch a match between two clubs from Nepal and Bangladesh when a hailstorm broke out, causing a stampede as the supporters rushed to locked exits to escape the hailstorm. Anirudh Thapa (born 15 January 1998) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Indian Super League club Mohun Bagan. Club career Early life and youth career Thapa was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, where he started his schooling at St. Joseph's Academy.
