2021–22 Doncaster Rovers F.C. Season
The 2021–22 season is Doncaster Rovers' 143rd year in their history and fifth consecutive season in League One. Along with the league, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the 2021–22 EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022. Doncaster Rovers F
Doncaster (, ) is a city in South Yorkshire, England. Named after the River Don, it is the administrative centre of the larger City of Doncaster. It is the second largest settlement in South Yorkshire after Sheffield. Doncaster is situated in the Don Valley on the western edge of the Humberhead Levels and east of the Pennines. At the 2021 census, the city had a population of 308,100, while its built-up area had a population of 158,141 at the 2011 census. Post Office Road (currently known as the Millennium Stadium for sponsorship purposes) is a rugby league ground in Featherstone, near Pontefract, West Yorkshire, England. It is the home of rugby league club Featherstone Rovers. The ground's current capacity is 6,954. History The ground opened in 1904 and has been used by the club since their formation in 1908. The record attendance is 17,000 from a 1957 game against St. Helens. Ed Williams (footballer)
Edward Christopher Williams (born 20 July 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Chippenham Town. Club career Born in Cheltenham, Williams spent his early career with Cheltenham Town, Gloucester City and Kidderminster Harriers, before signing for Doncaster Rovers in August 2020. He was made available by Doncaster manager Richie Wellens in July 2021, but he returned to the first-team squad in December 2021 by caretaker manager Gary McSheffrey. Ben Easton Close (born 8 August 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Doncaster Rovers. Career Portsmouth Born in Portsmouth, Close signed a two-year scholarship deal after spending many years in Portsmouth's youth categories. He was an unused substitute for a first team game on 3 May 2014 for a league game against Plymouth Argyle. On 9 May 2014, Close was offered a one-year professional contract with the club, alongside Bradley Tarbuck. Bradford
Bradford is a city and the administrative centre of the City of Bradford district in West Yorkshire, England. The city is in the Pennines' eastern foothills on the banks of the Bradford Beck. Valley Parade
Valley Parade, known as the University of Bradford Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is an all-seater football stadium in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. Built in 1886, it was the home of Manningham Rugby Football Club until 1903, when they changed code from rugby football to association football and became Bradford City. It has been Bradford City's home since, although it is now owned by former chairman Gordon Gibb's pension fund. Andrew Ellis Cook (born 18 October 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for League Two club Bradford City. He started his professional career with Carlisle United in the Football League in 2009, and found himself on the fringes of the first team but instead he spent numerous loan spells with Workington and Barrow where he featured regularly. He departed Carlisle in 2011 to join Barrow having failed to make an appearance in United's first team and in June 2012 he moved again joining Grimsby Town. Abobaker Mamoun Eisa (born 5 January 1996) is a Sudanese professional footballer who plays as a winger for EFL League Two side Grimsby Town. Spennymoor is a town and civil parish in County Durham (district), County Durham, England. It is south of the River Wear and is south of Durham, England, Durham. Rossington is a civil parish and former mining village in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England and is surrounded by countryside and the market towns of Bawtry and Tickhill.
