2021–22 Bangladesh Championship League
The 2021–22 Bangladesh Championship League was the 10th season of the Bangladesh Championship League since its establishment in 2012. A total of 12 football clubs are competing in the league. Brothers Union withdrew from the league due to the internal mismanagement and financial issue of the club. The league kicked off from 20 February and concluded on 13 June 2022. Swadhinata KS were the champion of previous 2020–21 season. Azampur Football Club Uttara ( bn, আজমপুর ফুটবল ক্লাব উত্তরা), commonly known as AFC Uttara, is an association football club based in Azampur, Uttara, a suburb of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club plays in the Bangladesh Premier League, having gained promotion at the end of 2021–22 Championship League season. History Formation and early years In 2009, Azampur Club was built next to the Azampur railway line by renting the land owned by Bangladesh Railway. Dhaka Wanderers Club
Dhaka Wanderers Club ( bn, ঢাকা ওয়ান্ডারার্স ক্লাব) is a football team from Dhaka, Bangladesh. They are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Bangladesh. The Wanderers dominated the domestic scene during the 1950s and 60s, and were considered to be the one of the biggest clubs in the subcontinent before Bangladesh gained independence. BFF Elite Academy FC
BFF Elite Football Academy is a Bangladeshi youth development football academy based on Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in 2021, it is operated by the Bangladesh Football Federation, with the goal of developing young players for the future and nurturing young Bangladeshi talents. The academy team participates in Bangladesh Championship League, country’s second tier football league. However, they will not be subject to promotion or relegation regardless of their position in the points table of the league. History The academy started with 51 under-15 footballers in September, 2021. The players were selected through nationwide trial. The current age level of the academy is under-18. Uttara Model Town or simply Uttara ( bn, উত্তরা) is a suburb of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The name derives from the Bengali word ''uttar'' meaning "north". Dhaka City Football Club ( bn, ঢাকা সিটি ফুটবল ক্লাব) is a football team from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club currently a team of the Bangladesh Championship League. Dhaka Senior Division Football League, also referred as First Division Football League, is the third tier of football league in Bangladesh. Until 2006, it was the top-tier league of the country. It was established in 1948 as Dhaka League, while Bangladesh was still under Pakistani control. Upon the creation of the new national top-tier professional league B. League in 2007, Dhaka League was merged with Dhaka First Division League, renamed as Dhaka Senior Division Football League and introduced as second tier league.
