2021 US Open – Mixed Doubles
Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury defeated Giuliana Olmos and Marcelo Arévalo in the final, 7–5, 6–2 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 US Open. By winning the title, Krawczyk and Salisbury received their third and second major mixed doubles title, respectively. Their victory together made Krawczyk the first player to win three consecutive mixed doubles major trophies since Mahesh Bhupathi in 2005 and 2006, and the seventh player in the Open Era to win three mixed doubles titles in a single season. Salisbury became the first man to win both the men's doubles and mixed doubles titles at the US Open in the same year since Bob Bryan in 2010. Arévalo became the first player from Central America to reach a Grand Slam final. Desirae Marie Krawczyk (; born January 11, 1994) is an American professional tennis player who specialises in doubles. Krawczyk has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 10, achieved in July 2022, and has won seven titles on the WTA Tour, including two at the WTA 500 level. Krawczyk is a four-time major champion in mixed doubles, having won the 2021 French and US Opens partnering Joe Salisbury, as well as the 2021 and 2022 Wimbledon Championships – Mixed doubles, 2022 Wimbledon Championships alongside Neal Skupski. Demi Schuurs (born 1 August 1993) is a professional Dutch tennis player who has specialized in doubles. She has won 15 doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as one singles title and 20 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. In February 2015, she reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 512. Michael Venus (tennis)
Michael Venus (born 16 October 1987), is a New Zealander professional tennis player. He has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 6, achieved on 29 August 2022. Venus won the 2017 French Open men's doubles partnering Ryan Harrison, and followed with a runner-up finish in the 2017 US Open mixed doubles partnering Chan Hao-ching. Venus and Harrison qualified for the year-end championships ATP Finals, where they reached the semifinals.
