2021 U-20 Africa Cup Of Nations
The 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations was the 16th edition (23rd edition if editions of the tournament without hosts are included), the biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for players aged 20 and below. In September 2018, it was decided that the tournament would be hosted by Mauritania. This would be the first edition of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations to be expanded to 12 teams instead of eight. The top four teams of the tournament would have normally qualified for the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia as the CAF representatives. However, FIFA decided to cancel the tournament on 24 December 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The defending champions Mali failed to qualify. 1999 African Youth Championship
The 1999 African Youth Championship was the tenth edition of the continental Under-20 football competition, held in Ghana. It also served as qualification for the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship. West Africa Time, or WAT, is a time zone used in west-central Africa. Nouadhibou (; ar, نواذيبو, Nwādībū, Berber: Nwadibu, formerly in French: ) is the second largest city in Mauritania and serves as a major commercial centre. Stade Cheikha Ould Boïdiya
Stade Cheikha Ould Boïdiya is a football stadium located in Nouakchott, Mauritania which has a capacity of 8,200 spectators. It is located adjacent (south) to the École d'Application, opposite to the Maison de Jeunes to the west and Lycée d'Arabe to the south. A racing club with a swimming pool and four tennis courts is also located in the complex. It's the second oldest stadium after the Stade du Ksar. History The stadium was built in 1968. It was inaugurated in 1969 under the name of Stade de la Capitale. In 1970 it hosted the first national sporting event in Mauritania, a National Sports Week, inaugurated by President Mokhtar Ould Daddah.
