2021 Tipperary County Hurling Team Season
The 2021 season was Liam Sheedy's third and final year in charge since returning as manager of the Tipperary GAA, Tipperary senior hurling team, having been previously in charge from 2008 Tipperary county hurling team season, 2008 to 2010 Tipperary senior hurling team season, 2010. The team were again sponsored by world leading CEO advisory firm Teneo for the third year in a deal worth up to €225,000 a year on a rolling 12-month contract. Tipperary again reached the 2021 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, All-Ireland Quarter-Final where they were defeated by Waterford GAA, Waterford by 4–28 to 2–27 on 31 July in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. On 16 August 2021, Liam Sheedy stepped down as manager after three years in charge. Tipperary County Hurling Team
The Tipperary county hurling team represents Tipperary in hurling and is governed by Tipperary GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Munster Senior Hurling Championship and the National Hurling League. Tipperary's home ground is Semple Stadium, Thurles. The team's manager is Liam Cahill. The team last won the Munster Senior Championship in 2016, the All-Ireland Senior Championship in 2019 and the National League in 2008. Darragh Egan
Darragh Egan (born 5 February 1986) is an Irish hurling manager and former player who has managed the Wexford senior hurling team since 2021. He is a former player with club side Kiladangan and the Tipperary senior hurling team. Playing career Egan first came to prominence at club and underage levels with the Kiladangan club. He had just progressed onto the top adult team when the club won the All-Ireland Club Championship at intermediate level in 2005. He was sub-goalkeeper when Kiladangan beat Loughmore-Castleiney to win their inaugural County Senior Championship title in 2020. Egan first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Tipperary minor team that won the Munster Minor Championship in 2003 before lining out in the 2006 All-Ireland under-21 final replay defeat by Kilkenny. Thurles Sarsfields GAA
Thurles Sarsfields is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "Mid-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred in the town of Thurles at Semple Stadium. The club was founded in 1881 and is the most honoured club in the history of the county championship with 36 County Titles. Pádraic Maher
Pádraic Maher (born 9 February 1989) is an Irish former Hurling, hurler who previously played for Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, Tipperary Senior Championship club Thurles Sarsfields GAA, Thurles Sarsfields and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a centre-back. Playing career Thurles CBS Maher first came to prominence as a hurler with Thurles CBS. Cathal Barrett
Cathal Barrett (born 21 July 1993) is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Championship club Holycross–Ballycahill and at inter-county level with the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a right corner-back. Playing career Thurles CBS Barrett first came to prominence as a hurler with Thurles CBS. Billy McCarthy
Billy McCarthy is an Irish hurler who plays as a forward for the Tipperary senior team. He plays his club hurling with Thurles Sarsfields. Eoin Kelly (Tipperary Hurler)
Eoin Kelly (born 6 January 1982) is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-forward at senior level for the Tipperary county team. Born in Mullinahone, County Tipperary, Kelly first played competitive hurling whilst at school in St Kieran's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of fifteen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team as a goalkeeper, before later joining the under-21 side. He made his senior debut during the 2000 championship. Kelly had a lengthy career, and won two All-Ireland medals, five Munster medals and two National Hurling League medals.
