Eoghan Connolly
Eoghan Connolly is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Cashel King Cormacs and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team since 2021. Career Connolly made his league debut on 13 June 2021 against Waterford when he came on as a late substitute. He made his Championship debut on 21 May 2023 when he started in the half-back line against Limerick in the 2023 Munster Championship. Cashel King Cormacs GAA
Cashel King Cormacs GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Cashel, County Tipperary in Ireland. They play their games in Leahy Park, on the Clonmel Road in Cashel. The club is named for the king-bishop Cormac Mac Cárthaigh (d. 1138). Extensive work has been carried out in the last few years, with the addition of a new clubhouse and main stand the highlight. Notable games have been held here in the last few years and it has become the annual venue for both the County Senior Club Football Final and the Munster Colleges Senior Hurling Dr.Harty Cup Final. Camogie Cashel Camogie club won the All-Ireland Senior Club Camogie Championship in 2007 and 2009. They won further Munster senior club championships in 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2006. The 2023 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship is due to be the 136th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The Munster GAA Hurling Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The 2019 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship was the inaugural staging of the All-Ireland Under-20 Championship and the 56th staging overall of a hurling championship for players between the minor and senior grades. Prior to 2019 an All-Ireland Under-21 Championship was held. The championship began on 25 May 2019 and ended on 24 August 2019. Tipperary were the defending champions. On 24 August 2019, Tipperary won the championship following a 5-17 to 1-18 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their 11th All-Ireland title overall and their second title in succession. The 2018 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 55th and last staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 7 May 2018 and ended on 26 August 2018. Limerick were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. On 26 August 2018, Tipperary won the championship following a 3-13 to 1-16 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their 10th All-Ireland title overall and their first in eight championship seasons. 2023 Tipperary County Hurling Team Season
The 2023 season was Liam Cahill's first year as manager of the Tipperary senior hurling team, having been appointed on 18 July 2022 on a three year term. On 13 July 2022, the Tipperary management committee had relieved Colm Bonnar from his duties as Tipperary senior hurling manager after one year in charge with Liam Cahill named as the new manager five days later. The team were sponsored for the second year by financial services technology solutions company Fiserv. On 15 November 2022, Noel McGrath was named as the new captain of the team with 2022 captain Ronan Maher as vice-captain.
