The 2021 Texas Longhorns baseball team represented the University of Texas at Austin during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. David Pierce (baseball)
David Pierce is an American baseball coach. He is currently the head coach at Texas Longhorns baseball, The University of Texas at Austin. Pierce was named head coach of the Longhorns on June 29, 2016. Assistant coaching history University of Houston Having coached at Rice in 1991 and then in the high school ranks, Pierce rejoined the collegiate coaching ranks at his alma mater, the University of Houston. As the Cougars hitting coach, he helped the team to two postseason tournaments. In 2002 – his second year as an assistant coach – Pierce helped UH reach a 2002 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament#Austin Super Regional, Super Regional. His hitters finished with almost 700 hits and a .310 team batting average, good for 5th in Cougar history. Kingsville is a city in the southern region of the U.S. state of Texas and the county seat of Kleberg County. Longhorn Network (LHN) is an American regional sports network owned as a joint venture between The University of Texas at Austin, ESPN and Learfield (formerly IMG College), and is operated by ESPN (itself owned jointly by The Walt Disney Company and the Hearst Communications). The network, which launched on August 26, 2011, focuses on the Texas Longhorns varsity sports teams of the University of Texas at Austin. Longhorn Network was announced by ESPN on January 19, 2011. The 2021 Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team (variously the Diamond Hogs or the Omahogs) represents the University of Arkansas in the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. Globe Life Field is a retractable roof stadium in Arlington, Texas. It is the home ballpark of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers. The 2021 Mississippi State Bulldogs baseball team represented Mississippi State University in the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season.
