2021 Super Formula Championship
The 2021 Japanese Super Formula Championship was the forty-ninth season of premier Japanese open-wheel car, open-wheel motor racing, and the ninth under the moniker of Super Formula. Naoki Yamamoto (racing driver), Naoki Yamamoto entered the 2021 season as the defending drivers' champion. Tomoki Nojiri took his first drivers' championship at the penultimate round at Motegi, while Team Impul took their first teams' championship since 2010 at the season finale. Tomoki Nojiri
is a Japanese racing driver for the Honda Motor Company. He currently drives in the GT500 class of the Autobacs Super GT Series, and the Super Formula Championship, where he is the 2021 and 2022 series champion. Racing career Early career Nojiri began his karting career in the All-Japan Karting Championship in 2003, and in 2006, he became the FA class champion. Nojiri moved to Europe to race in the European championship, the Italian Masters, and World Cup KF1 in 2007. In 2008, Nojiri was the top graduate from the Suzuka Circuit Racing School Formula, earning him a scholarship to compete in Formula Challenge Japan (FCJ) for 2009. Tadasuke Makino
is a Japanese racing driver. He has competed in a range of motorsport disciplines, including Super GT and European Formula 3. In 2018, Makino joined the FIA Formula 2 Championship with the series' defending champions Russian Time. Currently, Makino is in Japan, competing in Super Formula and Super GT. Career Early career Makino started his motorsport career in karting in 2007 and remained active there until 2013. Yuichi Nakayama
is a Japanese racing driver, best known for winning the 2013 All-Japan Formula Three Championship. Career Karting Born in Tokyo, Nakayama began his racing career in karting at the age of six and raced in various local championships, progressing to the KF2 category in 2007, finishing 7th in the Asia-Pacific Championship. Kenta Yamashita
is a Japanese racing driver, known for his successes in single-seater junior categories, including winning the 2013 Formula Challenge Japan and the 2012 Motegi Championship Formula Super FJ.
