2021 Saudi Super Cup
The 2021 Saudi Super Cup (also known as The Berain Saudi Super Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 8th edition of the Saudi Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Saudi Pro League and King's Cup. It was played on 6 January 2022 at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, Riyadh, between Al Hilal and Al Faisaly. Al-Hilal defeated Al-Faisaly 2–2 (4–3 on penalties) to win their third title. Al-Hilal then became the most successful team in the Super Cup, surpassing Al-Nassr's two titles. Venue The King Fahd International Stadium was originally announced as the venue of the final on 15 September 2021. However, on 31 December, it was announced that the match would instead take place at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh. Saudi Super Cup
The Saudi Super Cup ( ar, كأس السوبر السعودي) is an annual super cup football match organised by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. Founded in 2013 as a two-team competition, the current version has been contested since 2022–23 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the King Cup and Pro League. The competition was held the week before the season begins in Saudi Arabia from 2013 until 2018. Since the 2019 edition it has been held mid-season. The current holders are Al-Hilal, who won 2–2 (4–3 on penalties) against Al-Faisaly in the 2021 edition. The most successful teams in the competition are Al-Hilal, who have each won the trophy three times. 2nd Arabian Gulf Cup
The 2nd Arabian Gulf Cup ( ar, دورة كأس الخليج العربي الثانية) was the second edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup. The tournament was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and was won by defending champions Kuwait for the second time. The tournament took place between 16 and 28 March 1972. Kuwait won their second consecutive title, edging out Saudi Arabia on goal difference after both nations finished with equal points. This makes it the first time that the title was decided by goal difference. United Arab Emirates made their debut in the competition and finished third. Bahrain withdrew after walking off the field, during the final match of the tournament, against Saudi Arabia to protest the officiating. Moussa Marega
Moussa Marega (born 14 April 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a second striker for Saudi Professional League club Al Hilal. Born in France, he represents the Mali national team. He began his career in France, playing no higher than the Championnat National. After one year with Espérance in Tunisia, he moved to Marítimo of the Primeira Liga in 2015. Shortly afterwards, he signed for Porto. After spending 2016–17 on loan at Vitória de Guimarães, he became a regular in the Porto side and won two league titles in four years. The 2021–22 Saudi Professional League is the 46th edition of the Saudi Professional League, the top Saudi professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1976. The 2016 Saudi Super Cup was the fourth edition of the Saudi Super Cup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Saudi Pro League and King's Cup competitions. The 2018 Saudi Super Cup was the 5th edition of the Saudi Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Saudi Pro League and King's Cup. It was played on 18 August 2018 by Al-Hilal, the winners of the 2017–18 Saudi Pro League, and Al-Ittihad, the winners of the 2018 King Cup. The match was held at Loftus Road in London, England for the second time. Al-Hilal won the match 2–1 securing their second title in the competition.
