2021 Russian Circuit Racing Series
The 2021 SMP Russian Circuit Racing Series was the eighth season of the Russian Circuit Racing Series, organized by SMP Racing. It was the seventh season with TCR class cars. In 2021, the competition was held in seven classes: Touring, Touring Light, Super Production, S1600, S1600 Junior, GT4 and CN. Teams and drivers Yokohama was the official tyre supplier. SMP Racing is the motor sport endurance racing team and also motorsport management created in 2013 by Boris Rotenberg, founder of the SMP Bank of Russia. Vladimir Sheshenin
Vladimir Sheshenin (born 10 March 1989) is a Russian racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. Having previously competed in the Russian Circuit Racing Series, LADA Granta Cup & LADA Revolution Cup amongst others. Racing career Sheshenin began his career in 2001 in Karting, he raced there for many seasons up until 2008. In 2006 he switched to the LADA Revolution Cup, he raced there for a single season and finished 4th in the championship standings at the end of the season. Having returned to karting in 2007, he stayed there until 2008. He switched to the Russian Touring Light Championship for 2010, finishing 4th in the championship standings. In 2011 he switched to the LADA Kalina Cup, finishing 3rd in the standings. In 2012 he raced in both the LADA Granta Cup and Russian National Championship, he won the Russian National Championship and finished 3rd in the LADA Granta Cup that year. Lada Kalina
The Lada Kalina (russian: Ла́да Кали́на) is a supermini car produced by the Russian manufacturer Lada (''AvtoVAZ'') since 18 November 2004 to July 2018. The name ''Kalina'' comes from the Russian name for a type of viburnum. It is also marketed as the Lada 117/119 in Finland. The works on Lada Kalina started in 1993. The Chevrolet Aveo ( ) is a subcompact car (B-segment) marketed by General Motors since 2002. Originally marketed as the Daewoo Kalos, takeover of Daewoo Motors by General Motors (GM) also saw the car being marketed under seven brands ( Chevrolet, Daewoo, ZAZ, Holden, Pontiac, Ravon and Suzuki) in 120 countries, with the Aveo nameplate being the most commonly used one.
