2021 Norwegian Second Division (women)
The 2021 Norwegian Second Division was a third-tier Norwegian women's football league season. The league consisted of 70 teams divided into 8 groups. AaFK Fortuna and IK Grand Bodø, Grand Bodø were promoted and no teams were relegated. Reserve teams were not eligible for promotion. Norwegian Second Division (women)
The Norwegian Second Division ( no, 2. divisjon) is the third highest level of women's football in Norway. In the 2022 season, it consisted of 71 teams divided into eight groups. Two teams are promoted to the Norwegian First Division (women), Norwegian First Division each season. The worst ranked teams are relegated to the Norwegian Third Division. FK Fyllingsdalen, Fyllingsdalen and SF Grei, Grei are the current champions. Starting from the 2023 season, the league will consist of 28 teams divided into two groups. Each group winner will be promoted, while the bottom three teams in each group will be relegated. Stabæk Fotball Kvinner
Stabæk Fotball Kvinner is Stabæk IF's women's football team, started on 23 October 2008 with a core of players from Asker. Asker had lost its licence to play in the top league after a failure to meet financial targets, and Stabæk's chairman Mimi Berdal arranged for the new team to be formed within Stabæk IF. The team was immediately joined by other players including Solveig Gulbrandsen. Stabæk plays in the Toppserien, the top women's league in Norway. The new team set an attendance record in its first match, with 1,321 spectators watching a 2–0 win over Røa, and these two teams have dominated the Norwegian league and cup competitions since then. Stabæk won the league championship in 2010 and thus qualified for the 2011–12 UEFA Women's Champions League to debut in Europe. Frigg Oslo Fotballklubb is a Norwegian sports club from Majorstua in Oslo. It has sections for association football and bandy. History It was founded on 17 May 1904 as ''SK Frigg'', named after Frigg of Norse mythology. It was merged on 21 April 1954 with ''SK Varg''. It took the name ''Frigg Oslo FK'' in 1990. The club colors are white and blue, and the team plays at Marienlyst stadion. It has a training field at Tørteberg not far from Marienlyst. As the name indicates it is mainly a football club. It formerly had a handball team; the women's team became national champions in 1962 and 1964. The men's football team played for many years in the Norwegian top flight, and won the Norwegian football cup in 1914, 1916 and 1921. Lyn Fotball Damer
Lyn Fotball Damer is the women's football branch of Lyn Fotball. The team plays in Toppserien, the top division of women's football in Norway. Lyn formed a women's team in the fifth tier ''4. divisjon'' in 2009. The team promoted to the second tier in 2012, their third consecutive promotion. In 2017, after five seasons spent in 1. divisjon, Lyn promoted to the 2018 Toppserien. The team finished their first top tier season in eleventh place, and became tenth in the 2019 season. LSK Kvinner FK
LSK Kvinner Fotballklubb is a Norwegian women's football club from Lillestrøm. They currently play in Toppserien, the top division of Norwegian football. The club was founded as Setskog/Høland Fotballklubb on 10 October 1989. History The club was founded in 1989 as a merger between the women's football branches of Setskog IF and Høland IL. It was known as Setskog/Høland FK and played their home games on AHF-banen in Bjørkelangen, Aurskog-Høland. Before the 2001 season the club was relocated from Bjørkelangen to Strømmen and the name was changed to Team Strømmen. Team Strømmen finished the 2008 season in 2nd position in Toppserien, the top division of Norwegian football. They lost 1–3 against league champions Røa IL in the Norwegian Cup final on Bislett Stadion on 8 November 2008. From 2010 the team will be a part of Lillestrøm SK. Fotballklubben Eik Tønsberg Allianseidrettslag (formerly known as Eik-Tønsberg), is a Norwegian football club from the Eik neighborhood of Tønsberg, Vestfold. The club got its current name on 1 January 2020 after a merger with FK Tønsberg. The football team competes with the name FK Eik Tønsberg 871 where the number represents the founding year of the town of Tønsberg. History The club was founded as ''Eik Idrettsforening'' on 14 March 1928, and included the city name Tønsberg in 1989. Before 1988, the district Eik was located in Sem municipality, but Sem was incorporated into Tønsberg. It was formerly a team of nationwide importance. Idrettslaget Runar is a Norwegian sports club from Haukerød in Sandefjord. It has sections for athletics, handball, football, and cross-country skiing. It was established on January 7, 1949. Athletics Its athletics section is known for its prominent long-distance runners. Olympic competitors Gunhild Halle Haugen and Marius Bakken represented IL Runar, and so did Susanne Wigene for a limited period. Local rivals in both handball and athletics are Sandefjord TIF. Sandefjord Fotball, commonly known simply as Sandefjord, is a Norwegian professional football club, founded on 10 September 1998. The club currently competes in Eliteserien, the top tier of the Norwegian football league system. Their home ground is the Release Arena, located in Sandefjord, Vestfold. The club reached 1. divisjon in 1999, where they made quick progress and soon settled as strong competitors for promotion to the top division. Finishing third in 1. divisjon both in 2002 and 2003 they qualified for play-off matches, but lost both times. In 2004 they finished fourth. Idrettslaget Sørfjell is a Norwegian sports club from Eydehavn. It has sections for association football, athletics, team handball, ice hockey, floorball and beach volleyball. It was founded on 16 April 1916 as ''Eydehavn IF''. In 1934 it merged with the club ''IL Fjell'' from Saltrød. In 1945 it merged with the workers' sports club ''Stokken AIL'' and took the name ''Fjell/Stokken''. It was later changed to ''IL Sørfjell''. Arendal Fotball is a Norwegian professional football club based in Arendal. The club competes in the 2. divisjon, the third tier of football in Norway.
