2021 Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final
The 2021 Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final was a hurling match that was played on 18 July at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork City. It was contested by defending champions Limerick and Tipperary. It was the first Munster hurling final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh since it reopened in 2017 after redevelopment. The game was televised live on RTÉ 2 as part of the Sunday Game presented by Joanne Cantwell with analysis by Dónal Óg Cusack and Henry Shefflin. Commentary on the game was provided by Marty Morrissey alongside Michael Duignan. Limerick captained by Declan Hannon won the game by 2-29 to 3-21 to retain the title for the third year in a row. The 2021 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 134th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The championship began on 26 June and ended on 22 August 2021. Antrim, having won the 2020 Joe McDonagh Cup, returned to the Leinster Championship for the first time since the 2015 competition. Limerick entered the championship as the defending champions. The All-Ireland final was played on 22 August 2021 at Croke Park in Dublin, between Limerick and Cork, in what was their first ever meeting in a final. Martin Morrissey (born 28 October 1958, Mallow, County Cork) is an Irish sports commentator and television presenter. He regularly presents high-profile sports events for RTÉ Sport, such as the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and Olympic Games. Early life Morrissey was born in Mallow, County Cork (where his mother was from) but was raised in the Bronx, New York, where his parents worked. Séamus Flanagan (born 1997) is an Irish hurler who plays as a full-forward for club side Feohanagh-Castlemahon and at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. Michael Duignan (; born 21 February 1968) is an Irish former hurler and Gaelic footballer and current Gaelic games administrator, serving as chairman of the Offaly County Board. Henry Shefflin
Henry Shefflin (born 11 January 1979) is an Irish hurling manager and former player who is the current manager of the Galway senior hurling team.
